BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1 Booking
The signing of the booking form confirms acceptance of the terms and conditions set out below and shall be binding on the persons intending to occupy the premises whether or not such persons have signed the booking form. Each booking will be confirmed as soon as reasonably possible after receipt of the signed booking form and the appropriate deposit.
2. Reservation Deposit and Payment of Balance
A reservation deposit of £100 is payable with the completed booking form. The final balance is payable no later than 8 weeks prior to the date of departure. If the booking takes place less than 8 weeks before departure then the balance is due immediately upon receipt of the confirmation.
Method of payment
Payment can be made by cheque payable to G.R.& L.S. Heane or by Credit card
For card payments we reserve the right to charge a 3% administration fee
3. Additional Security Deposit
In addition to the reservation deposit a security deposit of £150 is payable to cover breakages or damage to the premises and/or contents, telephone bills, excessive electricity/water bills and cleaning costs other than those normally incurred in connection with the occupation of the premises. This deposit is returnable, subject to any deductions to cover the expenses mentioned above, within 4 weeks of the vacation of the premises.
4. Cancellations
If the balance of the sum due as shown on The booking form remains unpaid 8 weeks prior to The date of departure we reserve the right to cancel the booking, and in this event the deposit will be forfeit.If the Client cancels after the booking is confirmed the deposit will be forfeit.Additionally if cancellation occurs after payment of the balance has been made, the full amount will be forfeit, unless the premises can be re-let on the same terms, in which case the deposit only will be forfeit.All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by the person who signed the booking form and the effective date of cancellation is the date that the written cancellation reaches us.
5. Unavoidable Changes
In the unlikely event that circumstances beyond our control necessitate the cancellation of the holiday arrangements, we reserve the right to cancel any bookings at any time and will only be liable to refund monies paid by the Client (without interest or compensation).
In the event of a major change to the booking being necessary we will inform the Client as soon as
reasonably possible and if the Client does not wish to accept the booking on this basis we will
cancel the booking and refund all monies paid (but without interest or compensation).
6. Force Majeure
We accept no responsibility whatsoever, and no compensation or any other payment will be made,if any cancellation or change to
the terms of the booking becomes necessary due to war, or threat of war, dots, civil commotion, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters,fire, flood, adverse weather conditions, technical problems with transportation, closure or
congestion of airports, or any other events beyond our control.
7. Complaints
Should a problem arise relating to the premises, the Client should contact a representative from our Management Company. Details are enclosed in the information folder which will be found on arrival at the premises.
8. Availability
The premises will be available for occupation from 4 p.m. on the first day of the rental period and must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
9. Liability
We cannot accept any liability for any death, personal injury, sickness, accident and loss (including luggage a
nd personal effects) howsoever caused.We cannot be held responsible for any loss of enjoyment or extra expense or any other misadventure incurred due to any delays or changes to any flights, travel arrangement or any other service or circumstances as a result of the act or default of any company, firm or person not associated with ourselves concerned with the provision of your
holiday arrangements.
10. Mains Service
We do not accept liability for loss of main services such as electricity or water supplies, nor for the consequences of the actions or omissions of persons who may control supply of mains services, nor any action in the vicinity of the property by any authority over which there is no control.
11. Travel Insurance
Whilst not a condition of booking it is strongly recommended that Clients take out holiday insurance which covers loss of deposit, rental etc.In this respect we are able to arrange travel insurance. Please contact us for a quotation.
12. Age Restrictions
Persons/children under the age of 18 years are not acceptable unless accompanied by a parent or adult.
13. Documentation
Each Client is responsible for the provision of his/her own passport, visas, any health certificate requirements and travel
arrangements.We accept no responsibility for any delay or expense incurred due to the inability of the Client to provide these and any cancellation will result in cancellation charges as Clause 4.
14. Brochure Descriptions
All brochure descriptions are made in good faith and every care is taken to ensure their accuracy but no liability will be accepted in the event of any error or misdescriptions.
15. Contract
This contract is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with English law and the parties hereto shall both submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts
